Assessment Period is January 1st to March 15th of Each Year

January 1st to March 15th - Apply for Homestead Exemption, Double Homestead Exemption, and Valuation Limitation (Senior Freeze).

January 1st: All Farm and Manufactured Home Personal Property Renditions and Business Form 901 are mailed out.

January 1st – March 15th: Accepting applications for homestead exemptions:
Single Homestead

Double Homestead

Permanent Double Homestead (PDH)

Senior Valuation Freeze
February 1st: All Real Property divisions, and combinations of Real Property deeds, must be filed with the County Clerk's Office in order for them to be applied to the current year tax roll.
March 15th:
Last day of Assessment Period (January 1st to March 15th of each year)

Last day to apply for Homestead Exemptions
March 16th: A 10% statutory penalty must be added to all Business, Farm and Manufactured Home Personal Property Renditions not received or post marked by March 15.
April 16th: A 20% statutory penalty must be added to all Business, Farm and Manufactured Home Personal Property Renditions not received or postmarked by April 15.
4th Monday in April: The Assessor delivers the Assessment Roll to the County Board of Equalization.
May 31st: The Board of Equalization adjourns.
June 1st: The application for Oklahoma Claim for Credit or Refund of Property Taxes should be completed to ensure it is received by the Oklahoma Tax Commission by June 30.
June 15th: The Assessor prepares the Annual Abstract of Assessed Valuations on all taxable property. The Oklahoma Tax Commission must receive this report on or before June 15 to ensure that employees of the Assessor's Office receive their paychecks for the month of June.
September 15th – October 1st: Ownership and address changes for the current tax roll will be cut off immediately upon receipt of new millage rates.
October: Tax roll is delivered to the Treasurer's Office.
December 31st: New subdivision plats must be filed with the County Clerk's Office.

Application Period: January 1st - March 15th

Single Homestead Requirements:

Legal Oklahoma resident

Must be owner & live in residence

Have no other homestead filed in Oklahoma

Double Homestead Requirements:

Must qualify for Single Homestead exemption

Gross household income limit of $30,000 per year

Proof of income required

If under age 65, must apply every year

Permanent Double Homestead (PDH) Requirements:

Must qualify for Single Homestead exemption

Gross household income limit of $30,000 per year

Proof of income required

Must be 65 years or older

Senior Valuation Freeze Requirements:

Must qualify for Single Homestead exemption

Gross household income limit of $70,800 per year

Proof of income required

Must be 65 years of age or older

Freezes the assessed value of the homestead property

100% Disabled Veteran Exemption:

Exempts full fair cash value of the homestead for 100%
service connected permanently disabled Veterans

Veteran's award letter required

To Receive Exemptions For That Year:

Deed must be executed before January 1st

Deeds must be filed by February 1st

You must live in the residence as of January 1st

Rental income

Social Security 1099 with pink box

Statement for all assistance received, if applicable
